So is this move to change FAF designed to bring in out of towners or just shake up the locals? I guess the police can blanket 68 like they do for Delfest and other regional concerts looking for tye dyed shirts and out of state plates as a source of revenue. I hope Crabs gets something going for local talent to play on Fri evenings that's a nice venue for an outdoor show.

I've heard sickness in the family. One person told me they closed Frostburg and Keyser too. But another told me they are keeping them open. Frostburg is the most profitable.

Didn't know there was an El Canelo in Keyser. Thought just El Jinette had a location there.

Anyone interested in local talent and where they are playing you can find the info here  (https://www.facebook.com/groups/273680522746255/?fref=ts) I'll stick to the local talent as the genre of music being scheduled doesn't interest me. I am leaving town for the weekend going to see a band that plays in our local area called SO LOW they are in Winchester. Pumping some dollars into the VA economy spending the night and doing some shopping. Perhaps if all goes well I'll be passing someone heading to Crumbleland to watch a band here. Crabs are you going to be having local talent @ the Pig?

I have gone to Friday after Five over the years many times and enjoyed the local talent. Not a fan of Country or Bluegrass so guess it's one less reason to go to downtown Crumbleland.

My point has apparently been lost on a few so I will clarify. It's not if the inspection of such things should be done it is how they are not done in a timely manner.

According to the owner they are waiting on the Fire Marshall to test/approve the fire suppression system. Bureaucratic red tape.

Another case of the Government working hard to prove they are necessary. The more they sign up the more the program is needed. "We should measure welfare's success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many are added."   Ronald Reagan

Allegany County Discussion / Continental Motor Inn
« on: February 18, 2014, 06:42:48 PM »
Does anyone know what is being done at the former Continental Property? I'll put the Olive Garden, Target etc etc. posts in myself. I went past this morning and nothing went past this afternoon and there are trucks and equipment moving snow and preparing the area for something. Just curious after sitting there so long with no movement what is in it's future.

I hope the WMD FB is run better today than it was 20 years ago. I witnessed a stockpile of groceries by the person in charge at her home. I also remember a public plea for donations or they would have to close which was followed by the purchase of a snowblower. I will give nothing to them but do donate elsewhere.
