McKay a Christian?
« on: April 14, 2012, 02:30:05 PM »
McKay has done a lot to make everybody aware of just how religious he is.  I don't think religion has any place in government, but that is not why I am posting on the topic.  I am now questioning his veracity.

On the one hand, he is using much of his political capitol to oppose gay marriage.

On the other hand, he is a huge supporter of gambling at Rock Gap.

I thought conservative Christians were opposed to vices like gambling?  Am I wrong?

The problem with allowing religion to influence government, is you're opening the door for EVERY religion to influence government.  What's to stop Muslims from getting a referendum together to force their views on government? If the extreme Christians in this state can do it, so can any religion.

Keep relgion out of government and government out of religion!

McKay doesn't know what he's getting himself into. He's just simply not a brite person.

Please keep Religion out of County business.  This is not the place to discuss religion.  We all have a right to choose what religion we practice and not have it shoved in our faces at a County Commissioner Meeting.  Allegany County Business only. Discuss Religion at your church of choice or place of worship. I know politicians need to repay the people that got them into office but this is out of control now.  keep church and state separate.

This is pretty much going to be it for economic development effort.  The slots company and the County Commissioners will talk about the 400+ employees this will add to the county and really, what else do we need?

What we need to to get rid of the "new" 3 FOOLS and elect people who can and will work to improve the county. These three FOOLs took care of the police problem and that was almost above their capabilities but now we need some actual leaders

How about someone who understands business and the need for a well educated work force. The "NEW" three fools don't bring much to the table in these areas.

Between the three of them they wouldn't know how to attract business to the county if we paid them...Oh we do pay them and they haven't done a damn thing except clean up the whole police thing
