  If O'malleys gas tax of 6% is passed, just keep in mind that as gas prices increase the tax will also increase along with it.  When it hits $5.00 a gallon, O'malley will get 30 cents  for every gallon, right now it would be close to 24 cents and so on.

The 6% sales tax would be charged on the base price of gas and would not be charged on the taxes already being collected.

If base price excluding taxes is now $3.00, at 6% it would be 18 cents, not 24 cents.

That trip to Asia last year was good for Maryland Bioscience companies, and we do have quite a few of those.  Good for the Port of Baltimore as well.  I don't grudge the cost of seeking business, when it works.
